Course Information

Our golf club was started in 1958 by Harvey Austin & Jack Lee. It was opened the summer of 1960 as a nine hole course. The Gorman family purchased it in June 1987, built a new house & used the lower half for the new clubhouse. In 2002 the Whalen farm was purchased from the Masterson's. Kevin Holmes was our architect who drew up the design, as he already had done some wonderful architectural work designing other courses in Ontario; Construction was started on the additional nine. Pure Marble stones (some weighing as much as 6000 pounds) were installed for fairway markers. These stones were transported from Perth On, where they claim to have the richest marble deposit in the world & ship the majority in large (diamond cut) blocks by ship to Italy. On a sunny day these stones sparkle magnificently in the sunshine & you see on several, the blue & pink color shades coming through. Campbell Monuments were hired from Belleville to sandblast the hole layout in eighteen of them.  In 2005 the expansion was completed & 18 holes were now complete. In 2006 a driving range was completed alongside where the new clubhouse would be built.

For three years the eighteen holes were run from the old clubhouse. A new facility was finished & was opened with a Grand Opening in July 2008.

Golfers visiting us can now see all our starting & finishing holes of #1,9,10, they can also heckle their friends finishing at 18 at the clubhouse (smile).
