20-Apr-2011

Well another season is here and by the looks of things we have come through the winter quite well.  With little or no snow cover until after Jan 1, the chance of damage from snow and ice was dramatically reduced.  With the lack of heat, and the amount of precipitation that we have recieved since March, the course is quite wet and slow to dry up this spring.  Hopefully the heat comes along here soon!!
I would like to thank the Tues Srs and specifically Ernie Hollister, Terry Savoie, & Don Herbertson for their hard work in cleaning up the growth to the back side of #2 green and #4 tee as well as behind the sand trap on #7. The clean uo & branch raising all around the pines on # 4 will make a positive change. That clean up along the pines, will now allow us to have the power carts go one half circle around those trees & end up behind # 4 tee. This will eliminate the danger of driving into a hit ball off that tee.
I will also be moving up the white tees (only) on #16, so all golfers can use a driving wood, and now having the choice to use an iron or a wood if they choose.
Remember, this is your course as well.  Our opening this spring has been delayed until May 29th with the cold and wet temperatures that we have been experiencing.  Here's to hoping that it is just delaying a warm and dry season for us this year!

Enjoy your season and I will see you on the course.
